Program Overview
Creating a competitive advantage is one of the largest obstacles for entrepreneurs. Establishing contacts and gaining access to supply chains in China provides entrepreneurs with a skill set that enhances their chances of establishing a profitable enterprise.
EI Institute's Entrepreneurial Internship Program is designed for students who are looking to establish a new business or expand an existing business by leveraging resources in China. Participants can choose to work independently or with a pre-selected group approved by an EI Institute admission officer in the application process.
Participants in the Entrepreneurial Internship program will work with EI Institute faculty on the planning and set-up phases of their enterprise. Assignments include:

Language Classes
Effective communication is essential for success in any business. Understanding this, EI Institute provides all participants with Chinese language instruction at Hohai University.
With over 50 years of experience in teaching Chinese as a second language, Hohai University tailors intensive classes to provide our participants with the basic understanding of the language to help them quickly adapt and progress in China.
Classes are customized specifically for EI Institute students. EI Institute's affiliate partner, Jackson State University, will grant academic credit for the language classes.
Cultural Perspectives
The Cultural Perspectives course is designed to promote cultural understanding between different communities in China and the United States. Through writing and presentation assignments, students will improve their ability to recognize and discuss cultural differences in a constructive way.
